Pair of idle pickup tubes with collars.
These would replace original tubes in Quadrajet main body in the idle circuit.
Select the size of the orifice you would like, or we will send as produced, which is about .035"
Idle tube sizes are not one size fits all for the restriction. There are many different restriction sizes from factory production. If you are unsure, please message us with your carb number and engine details. We can suggest a size and size them for you.
Larger orifice size produces richer idle mixture.
Our precision drill bits are perfect for sizing the tubes and other orifices in the Quadrajet.

Idle pick up tubes
Never take the chance of just cleaning your old ones. The orifice are so small and critical of proper operation of your carb that why take a chance of having to go back later and replace them anyway. Idle problems are not something you don't want to pull your hair over! You ain't getting any younger.

These corrected my rough idle from the increased cam size in my 74 Trans Am. I was idling at 15 to 1 A/F ratio with the factory tubes, and now at a much smoother idle at 12.5 to 1 a/f ratio. That carb was intially tuned for 100% gasoline, not our 90/10 mix we now are forced to run.

It's nice to be able to order your idle pickup tubes already drilled to the size you want and not having to fight with getting the collars pressed back into place without bending and damaging the tubes or the hassle of having to rob tubes from another core because you damaged one in the whole process. To be able to order these tubes just makes life so much easier.
