This Drill Bit is made in the USA and custom ground to be self guiding for the primary side of the Quadrajet base plate. 10 New 5/16" bronze oil impregnated bushings for primary shaft and 20 screws to replace. Now includes the bushing driver! Stop collar for drill bit is included. This kit provides enough components to repair 5 Quadrajet base plates.

Exactly what I needed to take out the slop in my primary throttle shaft. The piloted bit worked flawlessly and it was nice to have a dedicated bushing driver so I didn't have to cobble something together.

I really like this kit. The first shaft I did turned out to warped. Two questions,
1. Do the throttle plate screws require locatite?
2.Do I need to remove the green Teflon coating?

Loose base plate primary shaft vacuum leaks are common. To be able to repair them quickly and professionally with just common battery or plug-in hand tools is such a blessing. The cost is very reasonable, the kits are handy, and this problem is SOLVED. These Guys pack the order up quickly, and protect your parts well in a box, not a flimsy plastic bag. My order came in just a couple days which was "Pretty Fast" in my opinion. My time was spent scouring the internet for Q-jet parts before I found this website. They have my parts ready to ship! I almost forgot to mention the "How To" Videos they put out which are really useful to walk you through the process if you have never done it before, or it's been a while and you need a refresher course.
